We stayed three nights at The Maritimo and had a great time. The staff was extremely gracious. We chose this hotel after reading other travellers reviews, we were not disappointed. The rooms were very clean, our rooms were sea facing, great to open your curtains to in a morning. We had breakfast daily, plenty of choice for all Service excellent. Really helpful and lovely staff specially at the front desk. Our room was at the third floor and was really quietly even that the balcony was on the street. Breakfast was good and you get it fried or scrambled eggs when you asked. Location was also good, not far from the bus station and only few steps from the beach. This was our 3rd visit and already planning to return next year. Excellent hotel, staff so helpful and friendly you immediately feel at home. Rooms are a good size and spotlessly clean. Food in restaurant excellent and good choice of menu. Situated opposite beach so you can dine looking out over the sea. We made this booking only a hour or two before arriving and yet they had our name on our parking place by the time we checked in! \r\nThe front desk persons were very attentive, helpful and personable. \r\nWe ate breakfast overlooking the water. Very trim and pleasant surroundings. The waiter took our order for eggs.\r\nOur room was large - a suite with a kitchenette. We enjoyed opening the skylight in the bedroom for fresh air. Wifi in the room was so good. They have nice, modern rooms, good food, reasonable prices etc. but at the top of the list are the staff. They are friendly, prompt and service-minded. The hotel is situated on the beach promenade in a nicer area. We had a fantastic four days there, including a boat trip to the nearby islands. After receiving a friendly greeting and smooth check in we opened our door to a lovely tastefully decorated room. The staff cannot do enough for you and will help with any queries.We were bed and breakfast and ate in the hotel a couple of times and the food was lovely.It is a lovely stroll to the harbour area. We recommend you visit Split and Omis. We have been at Hotel Maritimo in Makarska in september 2015 for 12 nights. It is a small hotel, very clean, amazing staff and top location! Breakfastbuffet, private parking and next to the beach. We love to come back next year. Thanks to Ana and her staff. After finding this hotel last year we decided to go again. Yes it was that good!!\r\nSvetlana and her colleagues met us like long lost family and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. Had a great week with my hubby at this hotel at the end of August First time in Croatia but wont be the last. Hotel was fab with lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and spacious with a sea view and right by beach. A really good position for everything n the area including the fun train that runs outside the hotel and along the prom. Food at the hotel was lovely, varied and reasonably priced. The breakfast that went with our room was lovely too. The sea is so clear and just in front of the hotel and the mountains to the back of the hotel are awesome. Bus stop to Split, Omis, Brela, which we visited is just a 5 min walk up hill from the hotel. One night stay for a little beach time after a few days in Dubrovnik, while the area around the Maritimo is busy with beach goers, the hotel stands out simply through excellent service. From the reserved parking sport when we arrived to the greeting we received from the receptionist, who even made sure to wish my wife happy birthday as we checked- a fact shed picked up when handling the registration with our passports. Efficient and very, very friendly throughout. The room was modern, clean and very well appointed. Great water pressure on the shower. Staff at the hotel are always cheerful and keen to help. The hotel itself is about ten minutes walk along a picturesque pedestrian path from the town centre but plenty of bars and restaurants on the way. The location is ideal however, right on the beach, and quieter than closer to town. A superb hotel in a very attractive resort. A friend recommended this hotel and we were more than satisfied - everything was excellent from the moment we arrived to the day we left. Our room, 305, was excellent with an amazing terrace with two sunbeds and umbrella and also sofa and table. Perfect for relaxing late afternoon. However, the staff are the reason this hotel is so good. All the receptionists were very friendly and helpful. The waiters at the hotel restaurant were excellent also and nothing was too much trouble. If you wanted some amendment to a dish, they were more than happy to oblige. We ate at several restaurants in the old town and felt that the restaurant at the Maritimo was as good as any. The short version\u2026 perfect in so many ways! \r\nAnd the slightly longer, more informative account\u2026 this hotel comes with recommendation after recommendation, which we can only reinforce. Our positive impressions began in advance of our arrival after speaking with Ana whose helpful advice and friendly nature gave us a great feeling in anticipation of our upcoming visit. \r\nArriving in our hire car shortly after midnight Nenad the overnight receptionist dealt with us so pleasantly, sorting the parking and giving us very useful information about the locale, Makarska and the mountains too.\r\nArriving in our room, it was a lovely touch that staff had provided us a plate of cold meats, cheeses and a drink as a welcome on our late arrival.\r\nThe hotel itself was ideal for us. Only 22 rooms, it is in excellent condition, ideally set out. It offers safe and secure underground parking with personalized bays during your stay with a lift to all floors. Our room had a seaview, which was beautiful to wake to each morning. I can\u2019t comment on the views to the rear of the hotel overlooking the mountains other than to say the one couple we spoke to who looked out this way said they were happy with their aspect. Rooms are kept lovely and clean by attentive staff. Bedrooms are very nice, with modern decor, well sized for a holiday duration and the bathrooms large and well set out, with large shower cubicle and hot powerful shower (no bath).\r\nBreakfast is superb, it is heaven to enjoy in the morning sun overlooking the beach from the restaurant terrace as the squirrels run overhead. There is a good choice of hot and cold options: cereals, fruit, yoghurt, sausage, bacon, boiled eggs, cold meats, cheeses, small pastries and for anything that isn\u2019t there like fried or poached eggs, it is no problem to simply ask any of the superb and friendly waiters to fix you up. To each by name\u2026 Mario, Ivan, Kresimir (thank you again for the gift of BiH coins) and Sandro we are so grateful to you all for helping make our stay so memorable. \r\nThe hotel is located a stones throw from the beach in a relatively quieter area of Makarska, no more than 15 minutes walk from the lovely harbor & the Old Town Square with hotels and numerous choice of restaurants on your way. We found however that turning right out of the hotel offered what we found to be our preferred restaurants with very tasty food, plenty of choice at very reasonable cost. Many is the night we sat side by side enjoying a drink whilst waiting for our meal and watching the sun set (for sunset aficionados it\u2019s maybe worth pointing out that this doesnt occur out in the bay over Brac which without thinking too much about I simply assumed it would, imagining it to be due west. It actually sets looking back up towards Split, inland of the beach and practically out of sight - shame)! The Maritimo as a restaurant itself offers gorgeous food and an excellent choice - well worth staying in for.\r\nThe sea is wonderfully clear and the colours it reflects, beautiful. The beaches, as in the whole of Croatia are shingle and not sand and you are well advised to wear swim shoes for protection not only from the rocks but from sea urchins too. Dont worry if you don\u2019t bring these with you everywhere sells them here\r\n\r\nWhich brings me to say to Svjetlana and Tanja we really cannot thank you enough for all the help and advice you gave us throughout, and the homework you so kindly provided too to ensure we got the most from our visit to Croatia. Ana went out of her way to help us with ferry tickets and made our first hectic day and night in Croatia after many hours of traveling so much easier. Thank you again, Ana! Wir waren f\u00fcr 2 N\u00e4chte im Maritimo und w\u00e4ren gerne l\u00e4nger geblieben. Da wir es gerne ruhig haben, war das Hotel das Richtige. Es ist in Makarska schon etwas mehr los, aber das Hotel liegt eher am Rand und sehr ruhig und trotzdem ist alles gut erreichbar. Zimmer sehr sauber und sch\u00f6n eingerichtet. Ausblick wundersch\u00f6n aufs Meer. Strand vor der T\u00fcre und um die Ecke gibt es auch Fahrr\u00e4der auszuborgen mit diesen wir die n\u00e4chsten Str\u00e4nde super erkunden konnten. Infrastruktur bietet alles. Essen kann man auch im Hotel und es war sehr gut! Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck Top! Das Hotel ist sieben Jahre alt und sieht wie neu aus. Das Personal ist superfreundlich. Wir hatten ein Superior Zimmer im letzten Stock mit einer Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer. Das Zimmer war gro\u00df, sehr sch\u00f6n und sehr sauber. Das Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck auf der Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer ein Genu\u00df. Die Promenade f\u00fchrt direkt ins Zentrum von Makarska. Das Auto stand in der Garage. Leider waren wir nur zwei Tage da. Dieses Hotel ist sehr sauber und hat sehr gutes Personal. Man f\u00fchlt sich dort einfach wohl bei\r\ndem sehr freundlichen Personal- besonders der Rezeption. Das Essen im Restaurant sehr gut.\r\nG\u00fcnstig ist es, ein Zimmer in der 2 oder 3.Etage mit Meerblick zu haben wegen der sch\u00f6nen Aussicht,\r\nDer nahe Ort Makarska mit dem Hafen ist wundersch\u00f6n, Dort kann man mit den Schiffen die\r\nanderen Inseln besuchen, Die Tiefgarage zu benutzen ist empfehlenswert, da Parkpl\u00e4tze rar sind wegen der Promenade vor dem Haus. I had read many good reviews about this hotel, and they were well deserved. Everything was perfect. The staff, location, comfort, cleanliness, food. Our only concern was that the portions of food were sometimes too large. We absolutely adore this hotel. We stayed two nights ago and drove up to Split for an intended two night stay but ended up leaving Split early to come back here for an extra day in Makarska. Everything about the hotel is so pleasant . The staff are 100% helpful and just plain nice and unpretentious. The food at the restaurant is good quality for the price and there really aren't words in the English dictionary to describe how beautiful the setting is at sunset. Beach in front of the hotel is so handy to get some morning sunshine after breakfast and it's a good stroll to the downtown area walking past all kinds of cheerful people watching scenarios at restaurants and cafes. I must say I'm also really picky about pillows and these are good! The linens are also crisp and clean white cotton and the rooms have an airy breezy quality to them appropriate to the beach atmosphere . No strong smells in the rooms and all feels very clean and inviting with plenty of charm. We will be back for another romantic holiday like we had this time. I would just echo what the majority of other guests have said about this hotel. \r\n\r\nAlthough 'only' three star, it's definitely better than many four star hotels I've stayed in, and service from the staff - at reception and in the restaurant\/bar - was at all times attentive, friendly and efficient - definitely five star. It's great to see staff who genuinely want to look after you on holiday.\r\n\r\nOur room was designated a 'park view' room (with a balcony) at the rear corner of the hotel though you didn't get much of a view of either the park\/hills or the seafront. No matter - the room was quite spacious with an excellent shower room and beds which, in our experience, were a little softer than the normal hard beds you seem to get around Europe. And you could take a very decent breakfast (buffet, but eggs cooked to order) or have a drink right on the edge of the Adriatic - lovely! \r\n\r\nThe hotel is nicely situated about a fifteen minute leisurely stroll into Makarska centre, or you could walk for miles the other way along the front. \r\n\r\nMakarska itself exceeded my expectations. Interesting enough for several days ambling around or people and boat watching from the cafes on the front, but not too big and brash (although we went in May - I was told it gets VERY busy in July\/August). Also, take a boat or ferry from the harbour to Brac and Hvar for an enjoyable day out.\r\n\r\nThe Croatian Adriatic coast is a delight - I just hope it doesn't get spoilt - there seemed to be quite a lot of new development going on. If you're walking by\/through building sites do take care because it seems that Croatia builders have no regard for Health and Safety!\r\n\r\nIf you've not been to Croatia before, go now and stay in Makarska at the Maritimo. Wish we could stay here for a week, but we're only here for a night. Arrived yesterday. The reception was very friendly and helpful. Our room is a delight with a balcony and view of the sea. Beds (we had two twins made into a king) very comfortable and with brand new sheets. Room has a frig. The shower couldn't be better with a full stream of hot water. Room immaculately lean. Breakfast included with the room. Variety of fruits, breads, yogurt, cold cuts,etc. really nice promenade and walk to old main port. We stayed at the Maritimo Hotel last year for two weeks and we were delighted with everythng about the Hotel. The staff were all helpful and friendly, the rooms were bright, very clean and comfortable, and a good choice of food was offered every day. We spent our honeymoon there at the end of may and it was the best choice. We had a sea view room, it was modern and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The city center is about 10 min by walk. The restaurant is next to the beach is amazing. Local food and internationals too are very delicious. There's a lot of opportunity to spend your time around Makarska, at the reception you'll get every info. We spent two weeks in this fabulous hotel. It is in beautiful surroundings, with excellent staff who cannot do enough for you. It is a small family-run hotel with the restaurant by the sea. Zu Fu\u00df ist man in wenigen Minuten im Zentrum, das Meer zum Baden ist direkt vor der Haust\u00fcr. Alle Angestellten sind superfreundlich, die Zimmer sehr gepflegt, die Aussicht ist toll - ganz besonders von den Superior-Zimmern mit den Riesenbalkonen ganz oben. Das Restaurant ist wirklich empfehlenswert sowohl bez. Qualit\u00e4t wie auch preislich. Man sitzt sehr sch\u00f6n direkt am Meer, ohne das es den oft \u00fcblichen Aufschlag im Preis und Abschlag in der Qualit\u00e4t gibt. We were really impressed by this hotel. Location was great - right on the beach. Lovely to have breakfast overlooking beach and sea. Rooms and communal areas all spotlessly clean. Such a warm genuine welcome from Svetlana on reception. Just like meeting up with an old friend! \r\nLovely clean and comfortable room with amazing views. Always cleaned early whilst we were at breakfast and the cleaners are really pleasant and cheerful.\r\nThe waiting staff are so relaxed but very professional also. They offered advice if needed regarding the menu. We stayed b+b this time as we wanted to sample some of the many restaurants in Makarska. We never had a disappointing meal and prices, although higher than on our last visit September 15, were still extremely good value for money. We esp enjoyed the black and white chicken at Dinners Delight. It certainly was delightful!! Having said that the food at the hotel was wonderful too. You will be spoilt for choice in Makarska! \r\nOne of our favourite things is to be able to eat breakfast outside, sitting looking out across the water. So relaxing and a great start to the day. The breakfast is as you would expect of a continental type breakfast. Eggs are also available and the chef will cook them any way to your liking and any fillings you chose for omelettes. \r\nFrom the hotel if you turn right you can walk right the way to the end of the beach and there are quite few nice bars to stop off in on the way. If you turn left out of the hotel you will come to the town and harbour area. Lots going on here and and a favourite area for the locals. Lots of ATMs too. We popped into the museum which is in this area. It's not very big but some of the photos of old Makarska are worth taking a look at. The lady in there has very little English but we all managed to make ourselves understood and she was very knowledgeable.\r\nWe visited in early June this time and it was noticeably quieter then early September. We asked Svetlana why and she said that their season doesn't really getting going until the middle of June. We left on 17th and the last couple of days were a lot busier. So, if you want a break with good weather early June you can still enjoy all that Makarska has to offer before the crowds arrive, unlike most other places at that time of year. We stayed at the Maritimo for 2 weeks, having visited for one week in September 2017. This small but high standard hotel is the best we've ever stayed in. The staff, without exception are friendly and efficient - the reception staff and cleaning staff especially. \r\nWe dined in the restaurant several times and the food was well cooked and absolutely delicious, all helped by the brilliant location right next to the sea. Our room on the 2nd floor was spacious and we particularly appreciated the massive bed! We celebrated our anniversary whilst we were there and returned to our room to discover a bottle of wine and a lovely greeting from the staff. We spent a week at the Maritimo from the 27th June 2018. The Hotel is in a great position overlooking the beach, the rooms are spotlessly clean and are well equipped, with excellent air conditioning.\r\nThe food s of good quality with generous portions.\r\nWhats makes this hotel special is the staff, all the staff greet you with a smile and nothing is too much trouble for them. Underbart och charmigt hotell, som ligger s\u00e5 ljuvligt n\u00e4ra stranden och centrum! Trevlig personal, toppenrent och snyggt p\u00e5 hotellet! We have been coming back to the Maritimo for several years and it still manages to punch way above its weight for a 3 Star hotel. Yet again this year we see exceptional attention to detail, superb choices for breakfast and an extensive and beautifully presented a la Carte dinner menu. Without exception every member of staff pulls out all the stops to provide a superb level of service. A wonderful little hotel<\/h2>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

We stayed at the 'Maritimo' for the third time and like ever it was like coming home.\r\nThe location is fantastic, very quiet and just a 10 minutes walk to the city center\r\nof the lovely Makarska with the pictoral harbour and the Biokovo mountains.\r\nWe had a really comfortable appartment this year on the third floor with a view over the bay.\r\nEvery morning we looked forward to the breakfast close to the beach and the promenade. We got bread, rolls, cake, pancakes, fresh fruits, ham and any kind of\r\neggs, joghurt, jam, juice, cereals, tea and coffee....everything we need!\r\nThe staff in general is phenomenal: very friendly, helpful, always smiling and you always feel welcome.\r\nThe rooms are very clean and pleasant.\r\nThe Maritimo has its own restaurant and the meals are fantastic with good prices.\r\nFish, meat, Pasta, Pizza, desserts, good wines..and of course digestible beers.\r\nWhat do you need more for unforgettable holidays?\r\nWe surely come back (home) and would ever choose this jewel in Makarska.<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThomas<\/strong> - <\/span>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
