Croatia’s World Cup runners-up have returned home to a mass greeting in Bana Jelacica Square in Zagreb, after winning the second place in the World Cup final 2018, our best-ever finish at a World Cup, eclipsing the third-placed finish in 1998. Congratulations to our team that showed experience, a winning mentality and ability to change the situation in their own favour and that is inspiring. Congratulations also to our captain Luka Modrić who was awarded as the best player of the entire tournament. Like everyone could read it these days conclusion of the tournament was: France won the world cup, Croatia won our hearts. Great job guys, we are so proud of you!!
